Your content stays in this browser while you create a code. App Download codes carry store links in their URL to route each device.
A QR code stores information that a compatible phone can read when its camera or QR scanner points at the code. Choose the format that matches what you want someone to do after scanning.

Let guests connect to a wireless network without typing its name and password. The QR data can contain the network password, so share the code only with people you trust.
Use one code to direct iPhone users to an Apple App Store link and Android users to a Google Play link. Test both store links and the final scan on real devices.
Share a short note, prefill an email, open a phone dialer, or prepare a text message. The person scanning normally reviews the details and confirms before sending or calling.

Yes. You can create a QR code and download it as a PNG without paying. The tool’s core QR generation runs in your browser.
The QR image is generated in your browser, and the text you enter for standard QR types is processed on your device by this tool. If you create an app-download QR code, the two store links are encoded into the QR URL. Be careful with sensitive details: a QR code is not encryption, and anyone who obtains the code may be able to read its contents.
A QR code created here is a static code: its encoded content does not expire by itself. A website, app-store page, phone number, or other destination can still change or stop working later.
Enter the details and select Generate QR code. When the preview appears, choose Download PNG to save an image, or Copy image if your browser supports clipboard image copying. Open the downloaded file and scan it before using it.
Check that the code is not cropped or blurry, use a larger size, improve contrast, and keep a clear margin around it. Avoid putting a dark code on a dark background. If you changed colors or print settings, generate it again and test the final version.
You can encode Wi-Fi details, but anyone who can scan or decode that QR code may be able to access the information inside it. Do not post a Wi-Fi password code publicly unless you intend to share access. Avoid putting confidential data in a QR code.
The code image itself can keep working, but the destination must remain available. For links, use a stable URL and test it periodically, especially if the code is printed on packaging, posters, or business cards.
